Title of work: The Last Removal
Date of work: Between 1890 – 1949
This drawing by Parks conveys the impact of of Europeans on the native american community which forced them to uproot and move. In this artist's piece we can see fact that even when they are forced out their environment the prosparity of their tribe is seen through support of community, shown as the man is helping the woman on the horse as they work to leave. I would say this strongly shows that who they are is not due to the environment but what is inside each on of them, traditions and everything of who they are is going with them as they work to continue as Lenapes. This shows the determination of the Lenape people as a historical capturing for future native an non native people to see an remember.

This drawing conveys the idea of taking in european contextualizes asimulaiton tactics an showing the truth of what traditions as a native american is in corelations to it. Parks said that "white people referred to as grease drinking" when mention how they percieve a specific ceremony, which he took and created what truly happened at the ceremony basically disproving what white people said. In doing this he took a statment meant to put native american to shame and reflect something positive convey to both audiences of native and non native the truth.

Title of work: Outside the Xinkwikaon
Date of work: Between 1890 – 1949
The art piece called "Outside the Xinkwikaon" is mean to represent a "church" or a place of worship with the traition of the native american Lenape people. In a time where Europeans were trying to convert and prevent any worship practice other than that of christianity, this art work can be interpreted to symbolized the push back from asimulation meant for Lenape people due to the use of the work "Xinkwikaon" which is known by Lenape. I think this historcial capturing of tribable traditions which act as a way to continue to pass down the Lenape ways.
